Running battery without fuse

hi,

i blew fuse of 12v 3000mah battery shorting leads, , warning label says absolutely shouldn't used without fuse.

i don't have time buy another. fuse protection battery? can skip fuse long don't short ends?

the purpose of fuse blow if current drawn form battery.

not having fuse destroy wiring harness, maybe battery or cause fire.
that if short things out again.
but, couldn't happen second time, it?
