Thread: ati driver for ubuntu 64 bit

hey guys, laptop dell 1535 studio.
has ati video card, think 3450
downloaded driver ati's web site, have no idea how open it...
help?

to begin with, belive name of file downloaded ati-driver-installer-9-11-x86.x86_64.run , i'll base explanation on this.

first start terminal session , go folder put ati drivers.

code:

cd /<folder name>/.../<folder name>

next, need change permissions of file can execute it:

code:

sudo chmod 755 ati-driver-installer-9-11-x86.x86_64.run

then run file:

code:

sudo ./ati-driver-installer-9-11-x86.x86_64.run
