Thread: Samba remote home directories

the situation follows:

have samba + openldap server clients can authenticate.

smb.conf:

[homes]
comment = home directories
browseable = no
guest ok = no
valid users = %s

above statements want able log in on client computer , automatically mount home share of correct user.

have couple of problems situation:

1. when try reach home directory of user following error:

administrator@abit:/home$ smbclient \\\\lodo\\bart -u bart
enter bart's password:
domain=[lodo] os=[unix] server=[samba 3.3.2]
tree connect failed: nt_status_bad_network_name

2. expected on client side?

samba automatically going mount home share or have create directory in /home of client?

thx in advance
