Thread: Unable to copy any data to a ext4 partion

hi guys,
have small issue 1 of ext4 partition. unable copy data partition. problem dont have permission write data in folder. cannot create folder, cant copy data etc. other filesystem ubuntu installed, have right. need enable right user drive, since not able use drive in anyways store data. attached screenshot of drive. hope u guys can help.

for technical reasons super-user "root" owner of disks if not stated otherwise. last part important. "if not stated otherwise" ...

give folder on disk, make owner of folder. that's how it.

code:

cd /media/where/the/disk/got/mounted/check/with/your/filemanager sudo mkdir yourusername sudo chown -r yourusername:yourusername yourusername

this give folder named after on disk. , belong user , account's main group (the 2 named same).

if want copy onto disk, simpy drop folder created ...
