Unable to open any .IFDs in Designer 7.0 or 7.1

i trying convert ifd files pdf. i've tried both designer 7.0 , 7.1 , ifds being saved output designer 5.6. know when tried open ifd in 7.0, before had od5.6 installed, ask od 5.5. assumed 7.1 support 5.6 , maybe does, when try , open brand new, minimal ifd in designer 7.1 message:

"configuration file '...\pdf.icf' has invalid version.'."

any ideas? much!

i'd assumption has been proved false. assuming think there sort of connection between od5.6 , lcd 7.1. reinstall od5.5 (get rid of 5.6) , try again.
