hello all, have installed new 190.42 drivers nvidia adding "ppa:nvidia-vdpau/ppa" in karmic 64bit. however, during install told amarok14 (got via bogdan's ppa) libxine1 (and few related entries) , nvidia-185-libvdpau have removed. chose go ahead, figuring (pretty stupidly suppose) re-install these later. install of 190.42 drivers went off successfully.
however, when try install amarok14, (both apt-get , in synaptic) told have uninstall nvidia-190-glx , nvidia-190-libvdpau entries. has else experienced problem (and found workaround?)? appreciated.
aside, able install 190.42 drivers manually using method given @ http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...ght=nvidia+185 , still retain amarok14. nvidia settings should system using 190.42 drivers , amarok14 able install nvidia-185-libvdpau. know why was, , if indeed advisable?
many people.
anyone?
