Arduino UNO USB serial communication for longer distance

hi all,

i want use arduino uno labview in laptop using usb serial communication.i have completed task of reading , writing data , labview arduino.

now planning testing our project in small robo @ 30m distance hence usb communication not suitable long distances.

so please me how communicate uno , labview ?

rs232 suitable such distance. serial tranceiver rs232/ttl based on max232 chip or similar need.
