i building remote controlled submarine. system comprised of command/control station on shore, relay buoy tethered via ethernet sub, , sub itself. on board, have camera live hd video feed, various measurement sensors. thought ardupilot might option controlling sub, includes features want have aboard (e.g. gyros , accelerator). have been able obtain apm free, need able use ethernet shield can components linked switch , ran on 1 tether line, , sent on radio wirelessly c/c station. there ethernet shield recommended apm , installation , configuration similar arduino mega hack i've seen posted? thank might able provide.

i use 10dof, gps, 16 channel servo controller, , mega2560/ethernet shield through routerboard router remotely.
i don't know mean "arduino mega hack". requires no hack.
