i have adafruit motor shield v2. i'm going use 2 6v dc motors. have problem don't voltage should put in motor shield. has 5-12v, have 6v motors should put 6v power voltage. here link te motor shield. https://www.adafruit.com/products/1438
it's ok give more 6v. in case, should careful not over-drive motors. limit maximum analogwrite() value not overheat motors. can test checking different power levels (50%, 60% etc) , checking motor not overheating.
obviously power supply needs able supply more maximum current of both motors. rectangular 9v battery not suitable.
