Thread: menu bar looks awful!

please see picture attached, menu bar.. when applied gtk theme.... turned !
how paint that?
, change color white (modify theme).. how can that?

navigate wherever theme is. should this:

/home/<your-username>/.themes/<name-of-theme>/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

open file in text editor , line says:

include "panel.rc"

put # in front of it, looks this:

#include "panel.rc"

then save file , restart panel:

killall gnome-panel

that should rid of background image.
