module positioning and styling - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi i’m wondering how can make module position can put more modules in , can publish module on page need shown.

for example
i want have menu on right side modules goes right side when in forum page want menu gone there more space forum using smf v1.1.2

and how can style module position css want use background image on , sow in site/template manager/module positions can add new 1 can’t apply css on it
