when running program under wine machine hangs. tried uninstall wine uninstall option, not possible. seeking suggestions.

go synaptic package manager (system>administration>synaptic packagemanager) , search 'wine'

un-check box before wine, , press apply!

follow instructions on screen, , wine removed!
