i posted message below hoping able - far nothing!
for sure there must out there can open designer, create 3 numeric boxes, set objects time oriented only, , last box having appropriate java script or formcalc script have show difference in time.
the script show below works great - accept noted. why? modifications need make have work 100% of time?
<<<< below orginal posting on forum >>>>>>>>>>
the following java script entered in "total time" calculation formula
"this.rawvalue = endingtime.rawvalue - beginningtime.rawvalue" when following times inserted calculation accuracy fails.
beginning time: 1430
ending time: 1700
the total time becomes 2:70 rather 2:30.
the reason seems time format in pm mode reading numeric formula rather time formula. therefore, subtraction standard borrowing , carrying (1700 becomes 1600 + 100 + 0) rather time (1700 becomes 1600 + 60).
does have solution?
i have tried resolving issue using "formcalc" no success
please help!
thanks,
tom
