Thread: Where Is the location of "/" exactly?

i trying increase swap space, created new file:


sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swap_file bs=1m count=1000

can find search, if go properties, location "/" . in "/" there famous folders. new swap file? can see it?

and, /dev/zero ? blank file source swap file or that?

swap partition, type sudo fdisk -l @ cli, last 1 lower-case 'l' list...

should see /dev/sda1 ext3 or ext4 , /dev/sd* swap...
