Fully power down monitor using cron? - Raspberry Pi Forums

so i'm wanting use cron make monitor turn on , off @ times, every way i've seen turn off monitor leaves mine on blue screen saying no input. have tried these 2 options , have seen no others:

vcgencmd display_power 0
