i'm bit cynical odd behavior of computer -- because happens me, doesn't mean "it happen you" ;-) wants try this? it's pretty harmless stuff, won't corrupt document or anything. know of.
* open document containing linked images. browse page.
* select window -> arrange -> new window
* browse in window page. (another 1 above, obviously).
* sure links palette open. hey, let's find image. click 1 of links, , click "goto link" button (or right-click, select "goto link", or select menu). nothing happens in top, active window.
* switch other view. miraculously,

has image selected , centered in view.
if windows overlapped (i work fullscreen), can see
i other
window updating, while active 1 stays unchanged.

i think happening original window master window , happens there, regardless of view active.
