Look of content on front page - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i apologize if missed faq related this, new administering using joomla , i'm having trouble ordering presentation of content on front page.
how change order/layout of how content appears?  right kind of divide central region of page grid 4 squares, , there content in 3 of them (top-left, , 2 bottom ones), can't figure out how change order of appears where.  there easy way make these changes?
