Pressure sensor on arduino project

hi all

sorry if i'm posting in wrong board

i working on project leaf compactor press leaves down bag. using dc motor drive compactor down.

i need able have plate of compactor sense when has reached force down on leaves, have reverse direction of motor bring plate up.

i new arduino , have no idea how this

any recommendations

force pressure sensor.

current detector on motor current. stop when current draw starts rising, signalling start of motor stall.
